Lady Cats earn district’s top playoff spot with wins

The Rains Lady Cats wrapped up district play with a big week of softball action. The Lady Cats defeated Wills Point to complete their district schedule in a first-place tie with Crandall and Kaufman. The Lady Cats then defeated Kaufman and Crandall in a tie-breaker series to earn the district’s top seed in the playoffs.

Nine athletes bound for regional track meet

Rains High School will send nine athletes – seven girls and two boys – to compete in 12 events in the class 3A- region II track and field championships on Friday and Saturday, April 25 and 26, held in Memorial Stadium at Texas A&M-Commerce.

Wildcats clinch third with win over Kaufman Lions
